Match Official Developers

NSWCRURA is fortunate to have a very experienced and knowledgeable team of Match Official Developers (Referee Coaches). At each of the carnivals we are tasked with appointing match officials to, we appoint an appropriate team of MODs to support our on-field match officials.

We endeavour to appoint MODs to carnivals such that at each referee is coached on each game they do. This intense coaching often sees referees improve the quality of game outcomes and develops their skills and game understanding so that, when they return to their home zones, they can transfer those skills to enhance the game at a local level.

Our NSWCRURA MODs welcome referees from all zones into their home zone again, to further the experiences and development of referees across the state.

Our MODs participate in ongoing education sessions in both a theoretical nature and through ‘coach the coach’ activities at our carnivals.

Any of our referees approaching the end of their on-field careers are encouraged and welcomed to participate in MOD training and development.
